Access to Information Requests
As your Member of Parliament and a member of the Official Opposition, one of my key responsibilities is to scrutinize government legislation, spending, and policy decisions. Part of that work involves filing Access to Information requests (ATIPs) with federal departments and agencies to obtain documents and data that help hold the government accountable. I believe that the information uncovered through these requests belongs to the public. That’s why I’m making the responses available here — so you can review the same material I receive and see how your government is spending your taxpayer dollars.
Order Paper Question Responses
In addition to asking oral questions during Question Period, Members of Parliament can also submit Written Questions, formally known as Order Paper Questions, to the government. These questions are placed on the official Order Paper and are designed to obtain detailed, technical, or data-driven information from federal departments that cannot easily be answered on the floor of the House. The government is required to provide written responses. By publishing these responses here, I aim to give you direct access to the same information provided to Parliament, helping ensure transparency and accountability in how public funds are spent and decisions are made.
